Chapter 29: African Art
When I finally got home, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. As much as I loved spending time with Samantha, there was something comforting about being back in my own space. I went straight to the bathroom to freshen up since I hadn’t planned on staying the night at Samantha’s and had skipped my usual morning routine.
I turned on the shower and let the hot water soothe my tired muscles. The steam filled the room, and for a few moments, I simply stood there, allowing the water to cascade over me, washing away the remnants of last night's excitement.
After my shower, I wrapped myself in a fluffy towel and headed to the kitchen. I was craving something light and easy, so I prepared a bowl of cereal and made a smoothie with bananas, strawberries, and a splash of almond milk.
