“What are you doing here?” I asked. “I’m meeting a couple of my friends here, we come every Sunday night,” he said. “You look nice.” I blushed a little. “Thank you,” I said. “Are you meeting someone here?” He asked. Oh shit, my date. “I am,” I said. “I’m meeting an old friend of mine.” “Excuse me, are you Hazel?” I heard another voice behind me say. I turned my head to look. “Uh…” I said. “I’m Dan, Rachel’s friend,” he said, smiling awkwardly at me. I closed my eyes. His timing could not have been worse. “Oh, hi, yes, I’m Hazel,” I opened my eyes and turned fully to face him now, avoiding Logan who I’m sure was listening/watching intently. “Shall we?” He offered his arm to me. I hesitated, then gingerly took it. I turned back to Logan. “Uh, see you tomorrow?” He narrowed his brow at me, confusion all over his face. “Yeah, see you.”
