Aria’s POV After that perfect date with Liam and then the just-as-perfect evening with my family, I awoke feeling more hopeful than I had in a very long time. For the first time since Markus and Joanna entered our lives, I began to look forward to my future as Liam’s wife. It might be callous, I would never wish death on anyone, but I couldn’t deny it was a relief to not have Markus in our lives any longer. I only wished he had just chosen to respect us instead of meeting his end, but given what Liam told me about his childhood, I imagined Markus accepting anything Liam did would have been incredibly unlikely.
