"No, I trust your character, Cassandra," Gerald Hawthorne answered firmly, without hesitation in his tone.
He knew just a quick word with his daughter-in-law and granddaughter would be enough to uncover the truth.
Cassandra felt a wave of warmth from his trust in her.
