Chapter 109
After saying goodbye to Isla Shaw, whose eyes were all puffy from crying for a scene, Amelia Johnson scrolled through her phone, looking up ways to get rid of swelling and sent them to her.
Amelia Johnson: Just sent you a few good tips to fix those puffy eyes, Superwoman.
Isla Shaw: Love ya, Amelia! Also, kinda loving that nickname, haha!
Amelia Johnson: Love you too, heart emoji—now drop that phone and give your eyes a break.
Isla Shaw: Got it! Oh, and just a heads-up, it’s really hard to get a cab near the set. Better book a ride, and let me know when you get home, okay?
Amelia Johnson: You got it!
That last "Let me know when you're home" really tugged at Amelia’s heartstrings.
She'd grown up in the countryside, and her adoptive parents had treated her better than most real ones would. Add to that Isla Shaw, Emily Carter, and her little brother Oliver Foster—all of them cared for her like real family.
Because of them, growing up had actually been warm and full of love.
Buzz—
