Sabrina dropped her gaze, deep in thought. Daniel's words kept echoing in her head - he'd said that Cassian only married her because he wanted something from her. "You're after my grandfather's secret too, right?" Her eyes narrowed as she stared him down. Cassian locked eyes with her but said nothing. His gaze was icy cold, like it could freeze you to the bone. He was way too unreadable. Sabrina couldn't figure out what he was really thinking. Still, she had a gut feeling she wasn't wrong. No one loves someone for no reason. Maybe he did have a bit of affection for her, but even that probably started with some agenda in mind. As she was thinking, Cassian suddenly reached out. She flinched, instinctively thinking he was trying to grab her throat. She started to step back, but before she could move, he grabbed her by the neck and yanked her toward him. Sabrina almost crashed into his face. Her heart was racing - when this man was mad, it was genuinely terrifying. He never yelled or lost
