Chapter Seventeen

Kyle’s party was an exciting one not because anything out of the ordinary happened but because it was the first real party Leslie had gone to in two years. After marrying Luke, almost every part of her life had ground to a halt except her working life. Luke had insisted that she shouldn’t work because he was capable of taking care of her needs but she’s somehow stood her ground on that issue and come out a winner. She didn’t go to parties, social events or anything of the sort because Luke didn’t approve or he didn’t want them to go together as a couple. So, it was literally her first party in two years.
