Ethan got out of bed and just started walking today. Well then. Turns out Mr. Blackwood's surprisingly tough. He pulled the whole knight-in-shining-armor stunt. Seriously, most women would melt on the spot. But Clara wasn’t most women. She knew Ethan too well—enough to know just how ruthless he could be. And honestly? Clara figured she herself was probably too cold-blooded to be moved by something like that. Wrong person, wrong method. … Clara zoned out for a moment, lost in thought. The doctor, still on edge, quickly gave her a once-over just to be sure. Once convinced nothing major was wrong, she made her way back to the room. She was still Mrs. Blackwood, after all. Some things had to be done for appearance’s sake. When she walked in, the doctor was just done refitting Ethan's bandage. Ethan’s body handled this kind of recklessness well, apparently. His freshly mended bones didn’t suffer more than a little bleeding. The doctor, while rewrapping the wound, gave Clara a hard look and
