Carlos’s pov
There was a whisper at first.
In shadowy nooks, one name was spoken.
The Sons of Silence.
Who led them was unknown. Nobody was aware of their origins. However, I recognized fear when I saw it scuttling beneath my men's skin.
I watched the city flicker like a dying star that night from the rooftop of my Monterrey compound. Everything burned beneath me: bodies, cars, and loyalty.
This was more than just a rival gang. It was a war.
"You've heard about Torreón?" With unsteady fingers, Armando lit a cigarette and asked.
"How about it?"
Twelve heads were left in front of our warehouse by them. No people. Only heads.
I didn't wince. Time was of the essence.
"Send a cleanup team. Burn the remainder. No media.
"What about the message?"
