Chapter 47

"Grandma!" Lucas hurriedly got up and helped Nancy to her feet. He filled her in on more of Sanders Group's latest development before quietly taking a seat. After she calmed down a little, she pulled out her phone and made a phone call. Afterward, Lucas left, and I couldn't hear the rest of the conversation. I figured that he probably asked her about the situation regarding Sanders Group. Later that night, Nathan came home. Nancy went to his office, while Lucas eavesdropped on them outside. Before long, a commotion could be heard. The door swung open, and out came Nathan in a huff. When he saw Lucas, he stopped in his tracks, looking grim and angry.
