CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY THREE – BACHELORETTE PARTY
"That's enough," he interjected in a tone that brooked no argument, stepping between Kayla and the flustered Brittany. "My fiancee's vision for our wedding is final. Do you understand me?"
Brittany puffed up indignantly, drawing herself up to her full but unimpressive height. "Well really, Mr. Storm, I must insist that - "
"You'll insist on nothing," Lance cut her off with a firm glare. "This is mine and Kayla's day, and we'll have it our way with no arguments. If you can't accept that, then you're fired and we'll find a new wedding planner who can actually do their damn job properly."
The intimidated woman opened and closed her mouth wordlessly, seemingly at a loss in the face of such decisiveness. Finally she gave a terse nod, all the blustering arrogance drained from her in that moment. "Yes...of course. My apologies..."
Without another word, she scurried off, likely retreating to lick her wounds from the embarrassing dressing down.
