CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY ONE – THE FATED FLIGHT
Kayla Storm settled into her first-class seat, exhaling deeply as she fastened her seatbelt. The plush leather embraced her, a small comfort after the whirlwind of events back in Harmony Creek.
She closed her eyes, willing the memories of countless drama she had to deal with for weeks to fade away. This business trip to the Bahamas was supposed to be a fresh start, a chance to focus on work and leave the drama behind.

Kayla's eyes snapped open to find a distinguished older gentleman gesturing to the seat beside her. His salt-and-pepper hair was neatly combed, and he wore an impeccably tailored suit.
"No, please, go ahead," Kayla replied, managing a polite smile.
The man settled in, introducing himself as Richard Thornton, CEO of a Fortune 500 company. As the plane began to taxi, they fell into easy conversation about their respective businesses. Kayla found herself relaxing, grateful for the distraction.
