Chapter 69

I get out of the living room and walk up to the top floor and then get in Ember's office which is mine temporarily. I close the door and sit on the big, black, leather chair behind the large wooden office. I open the small desk lamp and take the photo on my right. I smile melancholically and I feel my heart hurting. It's a photo of Tia, Nate, Ember, Eleanor and me. We are in Canada at El's first birthday party and we are all smiling and laughing. Nate's fingers are a mess and full of chocolate like his cheeks, Tia is tickling me and I laugh with Ember licking her full of white chocolate finger and El is trying to reach a plate with cake in front of her. We were so happy back then, we were one like always. Now, Nate is not here and Ember with El are somewhere far away. I am alone! They left me even for a while but I need them so much... Tia needs time and she is too young to understan
