Tristan's jaw was clenched tight as he strode out, carrying Megan in his arms. Megan didn't say a word the whole way. She just stared blankly out the window, pupils unfocused, watching the scenery fly by. Her mind kept looping through all those memories with Diane. There'd be no more chances like that again. Tristan let out a quiet sigh. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kept you locked up for six months. I took away your time with the Shaw family." Megan turned her head and looked at him. "This wasn't your fault. I only hate the one pulling strings behind all this. How many lives do they have to ruin before they're satisfied?" Tristan tightened his grip on her hand. "Don't worry. I'll find out who it is. I promise." After he dropped Megan off at Dreamscape Manor, Tristan drove straight to the police station. Inside the interrogation room, Ryan stood with hands on hips, practically fuming as he glared at the indifferent man in front of him. "Are you gonna talk or not? Who told you to do it?
