65. PLANNER

~ Zoie’s POV ~ Zoie peeked her head out of the office door to make sure that there wasn’t anyone around. Then, after making sure the security camera wasn’t pointing her way, she gave Asher a signal and scurried out of the room. Asher was following closely behind her. As stealth as they could possibly be, they tiptoed across the hallway, en-route to her bedroom.   Zoie saw that her bedroom door was near. She was about to make a run for it when suddenly, Asher pulled her back. They were hiding behind a tall column. Zoie looked at him quizzically and he put a hand to her mouth, shutting her up. Then, he nodded to the other side of the hallway where Zoie’s parents were walking down the corridor. Violet was looking around as Damon led her into his office. As soon as they walked in there, Damon closed the door shut. And that could only mean one thing…  Zoie and Asher exchanged a knowing look.  I guess we’re pretty lucky we didn’t end up going to the playroom tonight. * * * * * * * * * * * *
