Putting her phone down, Liliana shook her head slightly. "Nothing important."
At the charity gala, Liliana had donated a bracelet, while Marsha brought out a flashy necklace.
When the charity auction started, Liliana could already hear the whispers behind her.
Marsha and her group were sitting just off to her side, and their voices weren't exactly subtle.
Susanna and Marsha were both A-listers. They hadn't worked in the same drama before, but they looked like pretty tight friends.
"Marsha, you really went all out. I swear, that necklace you donated? I've seen one like it—it costs as much as a house," Susanna said, sounding genuinely shocked.
Marsha smiled like it was no big deal. "Well, all the money goes to kids in remote areas. If I'm gonna do this, might as well go big."
Olivia chimed in with a grin, "You're such a gem, Marsha. Unlike some people, stingy as hell—just a bracelet? Honestly?"
Marsha's eyes drifted to Liliana sitting in front. She stared hard at the back of her head.
