Cora's words didn't change Jasmine's mind at all. As far as she was concerned, Calvin was already part of her past. As Jasmine neared Delilah's room, she couldn't help but scoff at the sight of Calvin holding a basin, gently helping Delilah soak her feet. She had done it for him more than she could count, so seeing him do it for her mother now didn't move her in the slightest. However, Delilah seemed so easily swayed by the gesture. At that moment, Jasmine felt nothing but disgust. He was clearly using Delilah to pressure her into submission, and his tactics only made her resent him more.
