Chapter 119

Autumn had visited Dawson's house three times, but today was the first time that she was inviting him into her own home. Her house wasn't too untidy. She led him to the couch and poured a glass of water for him before heading into the kitchen to prepare supper. It had been a long time since she'd cooked, the last time being before she signed the divorce papers. Based on the ingredients she had stocked up and Dawson's preferences that she had observed in the past, she decided to make a simple tomato stew. The stew base was ready-made while the ingredients were fresh. Since it was a simple dish to prepare, it didn't take long for Autumn to get into the swing of things. She had an open kitchen, so she could easily see Dawson sitting in her living room just by looking in that direction. Coincidentally, she saw him rise to his feet. She was just about to ask him what he was up to when he strolled over to her display cabinet and picked up the tree-shaped glass she had bought at Mapleware.
