Lorelai's cold and merciless expression struck Zachary straight in the chest. He didn't move, so she forcefully wrenched her arm free, her voice sharp enough to cut. "Mr. Wright, if you don't keep your hands to yourself, I'll be calling the police." Lorelai didn't want to waste any more time speaking to him. When she turned to leave, Zachary reached out to stop her. Before his hand could touch her, she swung around and slapped him. The force snapped his head to the side. Yet, Zachary wasn't angry.
