Chapter 37: It's All My Fault

While her father was gone, Violet thought hard and long. She decided that she was not going to take the easy way out. She was not a coward  And she wouldn't give Damien the satisfaction of killing herself. If he was tired of her, all he needed to have done was to say so. If she stayed here in Barnes, he would be visiting everytime and she did not want her resolve never to return to him to stay strong and never wane. Violet needed her mother at this point because a man would reason as a man but her mother could understand her better'. So she packed her things so as to visit her mother in West End. Jeremy came back home with his shoulders hunched. Violet was shocked to see him look that way. She forgot about her own pain and rushed to him. 'What's the matter dad?' she asked, her voiced laced with concern. 'I met your sister and she told me the truth I should have told myself all these years', he said solemnly. 'You met Viola? You mean you went to Damien's house? Why did you do that?' Vio
