“How dare he?” Mia fumed as she threw her belongings to the ground. “Keep your voice down, Mia. People will hear us,” Kyly whispered urgently. “Did you see how Ron treated me, Kyly?” Mia snapped. “He called me a bitch. And Jack—he just stood there. He didn’t say a single word.” Kyly sighed and tried to calm her. “Mia, just take a breath and relax. Jack didn’t say anything, yes, but maybe he didn’t want to make things worse.
