"Let her say it!" Emma's voice was filled with anger. Nelson retorted, "Grandpa has just passed away!" This sentence was a reminder to Emma, as well as to Rita. "Do you have to say it now?" he asked, his voice icy. He glared at Rita, warning her not to say anything inappropriate at such a moment.
