The courtroom had mostly emptied out, leaving just a few of them behind.
Eleanor Carmody’s mood was still heavy—not because of that scumbag Jonathan Godfrey, but for her father.
She glanced at Calliope Godfrey, voice low and hoarse.
"Callie, I want to visit your grandpa’s grave."
"Of course, I’ll go with you," Calliope responded without hesitation.
After grabbing a quick bite at a nearby diner, they drove straight to the cemetery.
