Traces of bittersweet goodbyes hovered over every corner of Stellanridge University. Logan had returned to campus for his graduate certificate. He walked alone on a familiar path, passing the university garden, the training field, and the library. With every location he passed, he saw a bunch of young women in graduation robes taking photos together. Every time he passed a couple holding hands, his heart tightened with a forlorn sensation. As the best-looking guy on campus, Logan was famous among the juniors. When they spotted him looking lost and despondent, they couldn't help but discuss among themselves. "What's Logan doing back on campus alone? Where's his girlfriend? Did they break up?" "It's normal for couples to break up around graduation. Besides, with Winona's legendary grades, she'll likely be on the research track after this. All that time apart must have taken a toll on them."
