Rosalie had well and truly gone mad. She was initially supposed to be in the asylum, and now that she had harmed Stephen, there was no way Marissa would let her off the hook. Eventually, after Andrew's relentless begging, Marissa decided to have Rosalie locked up in the attic at Fost Manor. She even assigned a guard to watch over Rosalie to ensure the crazed woman couldn't escape and stir up trouble again. As for Stephen, since he was in an unstable condition, Marissa spent most of her time in the hospital looking after him. Hence, she didn't pay much attention to Rosalie's situation.
