The more Josephine thought about it, the harder she laughed, her eyes crinkling at the corners. Nevertheless, she beckoned to the driver. "Please take this car and drive Mr. Dane safely home." "Okay, miss." She remembered how Ethan had opened the car door for her twice. So, she walked over and opened the passenger door for him. "Mr. Dane, please get in." His eyes locked onto hers, and after a moment's hesitation, he spoke. "It doesn't take much to make you happy." What? She froze. Before she could speak, Ethan had already gotten into the car. She tapped on the window in surprise. When he rolled it down, she tilted her head up to ask, "What do you mean? I didn't quite catch that." Ethan smiled faintly but said nothing, rolling the window back up. The car started and drove away into the distance. Josephine frowned slightly, watching him leave. She muttered to herself, "Weirdo." Still, thanks to him, her mood felt a bit lighter. She walked into the house, collapsed onto the
