Chapter 20 The End
A few years later, Christopher and I had our wedding in Baldonia Island. I only invited close family and friends to the ceremony.
With everyone as my witness, I finally married love and happiness. There was sand, sunshine, and ocean waves, and a husband whose eyes were filled with nothing but me.
When he took my hand and walked me toward the officiant, I was greeted with flowers and applause. He was still so easily embarrassed. He seemed outwardly composed, but I could see his ears were already red as the sunset clouds.
At the wedding, Dad cried too. He felt I had finally emerged from Linden's shadow.
On the flight back home, I came across some news on my phone. A bride-to-be had been abandoned by her longtime boyfriend after being disfigured in a fire.
Looking at her burned skin on camera, I couldn't help but feel deeply for her situation.
In my previous life, Linden never had any intention of giving me a real wedding. He never introduced me to his family members either.
