On cue, Mrs. Lee emerged from the shadows, tears welling in her eyes as she looked at Blair. “I’ve cared for you since you were ten. I truly treated you like my own, sometimes even better than Becky. And you tried to kill me? I was blind! If Ross hadn’t risked his life diving into that pond to save me… I’d haunt you from the grave!” The truth was, I hadn't believed Becky’s initial claims about Blair’s affair. But Dick’s arrival changed things. Blair became distant, banishing me to a separate room, refusing intimacy. Then I noticed Dick’s obsessive concern for her pregnancy. During the engagement fiasco, Blair’s meticulous preparation to destroy Becky planted seeds of doubt. The rainy night Blair offered me milk… I’d poured it out for the guard dog instead. The dog fell into a deep, unnatural sleep. That’s when I knew something was terribly wrong. I witnessed them knock Mrs. Lee unconscious and dump her in the pond, revealing their true, monstrous nature. I pulled Mrs. Lee out before c
