Chapter 84
Sydney 's POV
I woke up with the worst headache imaginable, my wolf Aria whimpering in pain inside me. I winced as I turned, my enhanced senses immediately picking up the sterile smell of antiseptics and illness - the unmistakable scent of a hospital. My eyes focused on the blue curtain and stark white walls surrounding me as memories of Bella's attack flooded back.
Who brought me here? I wondered as I looked at what was around me - a beeping machine, another blue curtain, more white walls...
"Oh my Goddess, Sydney!"
I felt hands on my arm. I squeezed my eyes shut as my head hurt when I turned toward the voice.
It was Grace. I managed a smile, but it faded when I saw her red, swollen eyes, watery smile, and the dark circles under her eyes. Grace never had dark circles. No matter how late she worked, she always made sure they weren't visible.
"What happened? Are you okay?" I asked with worry and tried to sit up, but Grace gently pushed my shoulder down, her wolf's strength evident even
