Chapter 11
Seraphina's POV
Kaelos' grip on Rachel's wrist was so strong that the girl grimaced in pain. His eyes, which were usually warm, were now cold as ice, staring at Rachel with a look that could make anyone tremble with fear.
"Let go," he ordered in a low, threatening voice.
Rachel quickly released the emerald green dress from her hands, taking a step back with a pale face. Her three followers were even more terrified, standing stiff as statues.
"A-Alpha," Rachel stammered again, her voice trembling. "I was just—"
"You were just what?" Kaelos cut her off, his voice growing colder. "Intimidating a guest of our pack? Disrespecting the daughter of an Alpha from an allied pack? Or perhaps you've forgotten the basic values taught in the Nightveil Pack?"
Rachel's face grew even paler. I could see cold sweat on her temples. Around me, the entire boutique fell silent, even the shop assistants standing tensely in the distance.
Kaelos glared at Rachel with a demanding expression. "Apologize. Now."
