"Do you think you can manage it?" Dorothy asked, her voice heavy with uncertainty. "This isn’t like dealing with negative emotions. Once you absorb the Quicksand Fog, the historical tracing will start immediately. There’s no time to prepare."
"We won’t know unless we try," I replied with a determined edge. "Hide in the closet again, and I’ll give it another shot. If it doesn’t work, we’ll figure something else out."
