I found myself caught between two conflicting desires: a yearning to leave immediately for the Elf Forest to address the brewing crisis and a longing to stay just a little longer to see my child’s baptism through. The duality of my feelings was tearing me apart.
Fortunately, the matter was resolved when Tracy and the werewolf grandmasters recommended delaying the ceremony. My child, still in his wolf form, showed no signs of transitioning to a human appearance. A public baptism would require him to be presented before everyone, and his current state would undoubtedly stir unnecessary controversy.
