Chapter 1017 The Show Must Go On
“Got it,” replied Sebastian coldly before he hung up.
Jeremiah huffed.
He had done what Sebastian had asked of him. Why couldn’t his brother tell him what was happening?
…
Sebastian made another call. Jerome was already lying in wait for his order. Once he got the call from Sebastian, he moved out.
…
At the same time, in some cars.
Tamara woke up hazily. Darkness was all she could make out. It seemed like she was blindfolded.
When her mind finally woke up, the memories from before rushed into her mind.
She was drugged.
Who did it?
Why?
This was the first time she and Sebastian were here. They could not have possibly offended anyone.
Tamara’s mind was swarming with questions. She listened closely to her surroundings for any movement. Her hands were tied behind her back.
Tamara touched the knot. It was a fairly simple one. It was easy to untie it.
But she wanted to see where this was going.
She needed to know who was the one who called the shot.
The car continued on slowly. After an hour, the car finally rolled to a stop.
Tamara was dragged out of the car by the arm. Someone pushed her forward.
She was walking on a stony path. Because she was barefooted, her skin broke from the sharp stones. Tamara hissed in pain.
“Hurry up! She’s awake!” yelled one of the men. Judging from his accent, he must be a local.
After Tamara took note of this, she quickly put on a show and struggled against her restraints. “Who are you? Let me go!”
The two men ignored her and continued to drag her forward. The show must go on. Tamara put on her best act and struggled wildly against them. Unfortunately, her feet were also badly cut from her trashing.
Tamara hissed from the pain. She swore she would make these people pay once she got out of there.
Soon, they arrived at a house. It was quite spacious. Tamara could hear echoes.
Tamara was pushed onto a chair. Then, her blindfold was removed.
Tamara blinked from the sudden brightness and closed her eyes reflexively. She waited until she got used to the light before opening her eyes again.
Opposite her stood a blonde man. He was looking her up and down like she was some kind of meat.
Tamara narrowed her eyes at him. She knew who he was. He was the man from before—the one who got ice cream thrown at his head by Sebastian.
He had sent Sebastian a glare when he left. At first, Tamara and Sebastian merely brushed him off. Tamara never expected that he would pull this risky move.
Tamara was quickly coming up with a plan. She looked frightened for the man and asked, “What are you planning to do? Why did you kidnap me?”
The man stepped forward and pulled her head up by the hair. He was very close to Tamara. “I will get any woman I like one way or another.”
Tamara widened her eyes at the man. “Please let me go. I’m… I’m married.”
“Haha. I love the innocent look you’re giving me. It makes me go wild. I don’t care that you’re married. I’ve been with plenty of women like you. I can’t wait to add you to the list too.” The man’s breath blew against Tamara’s ear. She fought the urge to gag.
