Chapter 1019 Wasn’t I Amazing

The gunshot went off once, twice, thrice. A car was speeding toward the place. When he heard the gunshots, Sebastian’s gaze darkened. Sebastian saw a few men running out in terror as soon as his car arrived at the place. “Get them!” ordered Sebastian. The cops rushed forward and apprehended the men. Sebastian rushed toward the house. He kicked down the door forcefully. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw the scene inside. “Sebastian!” whined a soft voice. Tamara rushed into Sebastian’s arms when she saw him. Sebastian caught her body. “Were you frightened?” “Yes! Very!” Tamara nodded firmly. Sebastian turned his gaze to the man lying in his own pool of blood. His eyes twitched. Sebastian’s racing heart finally calmed down. He closed his eyes. “I’m glad you’re okay, Tammy.” Sebastian hugged her tight. He wanted nothing more than to keep her in his pocket and bring her to safety. He still remembered how scared he was when he learned of Tamara’s disappearance. He thought he might even go mad! Tamara could sense how shaken up her man was. She pecked his cheeks and comforted him, “Hey, it’s okay. I’m okay. They didn’t do anything to me. Don’t worry.” Sebastian’s eyes glowed red with anger. He observed Tamara closely. After making sure she was alright, he finally calmed down. “Yes. It’s okay now,” said Sebastian, sighing. The cops rushed in and surrounded the place. When they saw the injured man, the cops turned their attention to Tamara. Tamara noticed their stares and unconsciously burrowed into Sebastian’s embrace. Sebastian sent the cops a warning look that seemed to say, “Don’t touch my wife!” The cops groaned in unison. They just wanted to see if it was Tamara who injured the man. After all, she was the only one around. Tamara looked scared and defenseless right now. She was even trembling in Sebastian’s arms. It was an odd situation. After the cops closed the case, they left the scene. Sebastian brought Tamara back to the hotel. When she saw the bags littered all over the floor, Tamara pouted and declared, “I won’t ever buy things outstation anymore. It’s so unsafe.” Sebastian stared darkly at her feet. He had noticed the dried blood on it. Sebastian frowned. He went and got the medical kit before he started cleaning her wounds. Tamara snuggled against the couch. She watched Sebastian’s handsome face. “Wasn’t I amazing, Sebastian?” Sebastian paused and looked up. “Yes, you were.” Tamara leaned forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. She muttered gently, “I’m great, aren’t I? So, why won’t you stop worrying about me?”
