Chapter 1020 End It Early
The lights in the hotel room were dimmed. It gave off a soft vibe as it shone down on the couple.
Sebastian’s eyes softened. “How could I not worry about you, Tammy?”
Tamara’s breath quickened, and her heart melted.
Sebastian lowered his gaze and continued treating her wound. He continued, “I know you’re amazing. You can come up with scented tea leaves, know how to fight, know acupuncture, and so much more. Still, I’ll worry. I want to take care of you and protect you for the rest of my life.”
Tamara’s nose prickled.
Sebastian was putting some disinfectant on her leg. He was gentle but meticulous.
Tamara was deeply moved by him.
Who wouldn’t enjoy being taken care of?
Tamara could sense Sebastian’s fear and helplessness, especially when they were at the house. She could tell from how forcefully he had kicked down the door.
That was why she had rushed into his arms. In her own way, she was trying to comfort him.
His emotions also rubbed off on her, and she found herself getting scared along with him.
What if it was someone else who caught her?
What if they were actually a threat to her?
She might not have made it out unscathed.
She could understand why Sebastian felt the way he did. After he was done treating her wounds, Tamara dove into his arms again.
“Hold me, Sebastian,” mumbled Tamara softly against his chest.
“Okay.” Sebastian wrapped his muscular arms around his wife’s petite frame. He held her close.
Tamara wiggled into a more comfortable spot and closed her eyes.
She felt calm as his familiar scent surrounded her. “I love you, Sebastian.”
“I love you too.”
…
Their initial plan was to stay in this city for three days. But after that incident, they didn’t want to stay there any longer than needed.
After resting for another day and making sure Tamara’s wounds had closed up, they decided to leave for the next city.
When they exited from the airport, they saw the orange evening sky. Tamara paused. “This looked familiar.”
Sebastian held her hand and whispered, “Does it remind you of Nammu Bay?”
Tamara nodded, “Yes, it does.”
This was the type of evening sky she saw every time something terrible happened to her.
It was hard to believe something bad could happen underneath such a beautiful sky.
Tamara’s mood dampened at the thought of those unpleasant memories. She silently followed Sebastian to their next location.
This time, they chose to stay at a villa. It was safer compared to staying in a hotel.
Sebastian noticed how down Tamara was and decided to let them rest for the day. They could always go out tomorrow.
For dinner, they tried out the local cuisines. Tamara cheered up a little at the good food.
She turned to Sebastian and noticed he was on his phone. She glanced at the screen, realizing he was replying to some emails.
Tamara bit into a piece of bread and mumbled, “Do you want to end our honeymoon early?”
Sebastian frowned and asked, “Why would I do that?”
