Chapter 1753 Aunt Tamara, I Want to Go Abroad
It was a call from Sebastian.
While the phone continued to ring, a gentle breeze blew, carrying the scent of flowers. A hint of determination flashed across Tamara's eyes, and she answered the call, "Hello?"
"Are you busy?" Sebastian's deep voice came through. He sounded cold and indifferent.
Tamara replied, "Not at all. Is there something you need?"
Sebastian said in a solemn tone, "I've been thinking about your question these past few days. If you want to continue your dreams, it might be related to that."
Tamara's face turned red at that. Images of that night flashed through her mind, and her heart began to race.
It was something she had been avoiding and trying to forget, but now it was right in front of her. It might even happen again.
Sebastian's attitude during their dinner had left her alarmed. His intentions were clear, and their relationship was a complex one.
Tamara closed her eyes and remained silent for a while. "Let's … meet in person to discuss this."
The line went silent, and Tamara could only feel the flower-scented breeze that did nothing to soothe her emotions. If anything, it only made her want to run away.
"Alright, you can decide on the time and place." Sebastian must have sensed her emotion and quickly agreed.
Tamara responded, "I'll think it over and send you a message."
"Okay." The call ended.
Tamara gripped her phone so tightly that her knuckles turned white. She took a deep breath and got up, leaving the flower pavilion.
As she stepped out of the garden, she saw her niece, Jocelyn, standing by the swimming pool. The young girl had grown to have an elegant and slender figure. She was only five years younger than Tamara.
Since Quentin had been chased out of Londsville, both Coral and Jocelyn had been weirdly silent and dared not approach Tamara.
Tamara was surprised to see her niece. She suddenly remembered her dreams about Jocelyn, who went to great lengths for revenge. In this life, Tamara didn't hold back and even crippled Quentin.
Jocelyn must have resented her.
"Aunt Tamara." Just as she was contemplating this, Jocelyn suddenly turned to her with a restrained expression on her youthful face.
Tamara asked, "What is it?"
Tamara stared calmly at Jocelyn, waiting for her to speak.
"I want to go abroad," Jocelyn said calmly.
Tamara was taken aback. "Go abroad?"
Jocelyn nodded. "Yes, I want to study abroad and focus on my education."
Tamara stared deeply into her eyes. "You should discuss it with your grandfather. He will agree."
Jocelyn shook her head. "I want to talk to you about it. I know our family has a complicated relationship. Grandma only dotes on you, and Grandpa listens to Grandma. In reality, the owner of the house isn't who people thought it was."
Tamara was surprised by Jocelyn's words. She couldn't believe that a young girl in her teens would think about such matters!
In her dreams, Jocelyn didn't possess this kind of personality.
"Have you thought it through?" Tamara asked.
Jocelyn nodded. "I've considered it carefully. My mother resents you, and she wants to use me against you. But I don't want to get involved in your issues, so I want to go abroad. Consider it my way of showing goodwill to you."
Tamara was even more surprised at this. The young girl's demeanor and words didn't match her age.
A ludicrous thought crossed her mind, and she almost blurted it out. But Jocelyn didn't continue after that, so she held back the thought.
"Alright, I'll arrange everything for you. Focus on your studies, and you'll be in charge of the Simmons Corporation in the future," Tamara promised.
