Chapter 559 Still Upset

She slowly released Benjamin’s collar and even helped him straighten it out. A moment later, she asked again, “Benjamin, are you being for real?” Benjamin did not respond, but his silence said it all. Margot picked at her lips. “Fine. Let’s get divorced, then. But you have to remember how much I can hold a grudge. You either hand me all of your property willingly, or I’ll do everything I can to destroy you. Pick.” Benjamin said coldly, “I’ll give you everything.” “Good. Let’s go to the marriage bureau right this second!” Margot spun on her heel and stormed toward the elevators. She looked emotionless as they made their way to the bureau. She couldn’t properly discern what she was feeling. It was true that she loved Benjamin, but she felt that love had dwindled. When he mentioned that he wanted to get a divorce, Margot could feel her heart break metaphorically, but it didn’t hurt as much as it was supposed to. After all, Margot had always been abandoned and cast aside since she was a child. She had gotten used to it. However, she was still upset. Even though Benjamin had agreed to give her everything he owned, she was still unhappy. She left the marriage bureau with the marriage certificate in one hand and divorce papers in the other. The divorce agreement stated that Benjamin would transfer all of his assets to her. She ripped the marriage certificate to shreds and tossed them in the bin by the road. Then, she glanced over at Benjamin. “Let’s go to the notary office next. I want you to transfer everything you have to me!” Benjamin nodded. He did not reveal any emotions the entire time. It felt as if Benjamin had never been the domineering, introverted, cold man from her past who had promised himself to her. The assets were successfully transferred. Margot eyed the shares and numbers with disinterest. “Benjamin Inkling, don’t ever let me see your face again! If I see you again, I’ll make sure to stab you to death!” Margot said coldly, then got into her car and left. Benjamin stared at Margot’s rigid back with his thin lips pursed. He nearly crumpled the divorce agreement in his hand. At this moment, he received a call. Benjamin answered. “Benjamin, your ex-wife’s so fierce! She barged into my place without permission and even yelled at me. Gosh, I’m so mad.” Kayla’s voice could be heard through the phone. She sounded a little pissed off. Benjamin shut his eyes. “I’ll apologize to you on her behalf.” Kayla smiled. “You shouldn’t have to do that.” Benjamin swallowed sensually. His throat felt as if it was being stabbed by countless knives. It hurt to speak, causing him to sound hoarse. “We’re officially divorced now. When will you hand the antidote to me?” Kayla grinned. “Why the rush? Let’s celebrate your newly single status. Come back as soon as you can. I’ve made us some good food.” Benjamin hung up right away, then shut his eyes tightly. … After Margot left, she spent the next two weeks collecting information on Inkling Corporation. Inkling Corporation was a family business. Although it was pretty stable, a disadvantage family businesses had was that they were easy to overthrow. It would be easy as pie for Margot to mess with the business. Margot skimmed through the information and sneered coldly. Then, she sent out an instruction through her phone. “Do everything possible to fuck Inkling Corporation up. I want it to go bankrupt three months from now!” However, after sending that out, Margot found that she was still upset. As such, she went to drown her sorrows at Joker’s Clubhouse. After explaining everything, Margot turned over on the bed and glanced at Tamara. “Tammy, do you think I did the right thing?” Tamara’s heart ached for her friend. She said, “I don’t think you did enough. You should’ve cut that scumbag up into pieces.” She didn’t think Benjamin would abandon Margot like that!
