Anthony struggled desperately, which caught the several bodyguards off guard. As they didn’t manage to stop him in time, he freed himself. Anthony rushed up to Elijah and grabbed him by the neck. He glared at the man. “Shut the fuck up!” Elijah had not expected this. He started to cough violently, and very quickly, he found it difficult to breathe. Meanwhile, the bodyguards finally snapped back to their senses and rushed to pull Anthony away. Anthony roared and glared angrily at Elijah. “You’d better keep your mouth shut!” His behavior was much too odd, which surprised Tamara. When she saw how insane Anthony looked and how he was on the verge of killing Elijah, it seemed that whatever she was oblivious to was Anthony’s deep, dark secret. “What were you going to say?” Tamara didn’t know why, but she suddenly had a bad feeling about what was to come. She fixed her eyes on Elijah. Elijah’s neck was nearly snapped by Anthony. It took him a long while to recover from the assault. He did not respond to Tamara’s question right away and merely glared darkly at Anthony. “I thought you were loyal to Tammy! It turns out that your loyalty means nothing! I’ve done everything wrong, and I’ll do everything I can to make up for it. I don’t care if Tammy never forgives me because I’ve been the bad guy from the start! “But Anthony, you’re the closest person to her. You’re her most trusted family! You did her wrong yet won’t even admit your wrongdoings to her. Instead, you even tried to kill me? I’m going to make sure you regret living!” After saying that, Elijah shot his bodyguards a look. The bodyguards nodded, then started to beat Anthony up! Watching the scene before her, Tamara’s mind became a jumbled mess once more. She took a few steps toward Elijah and asked, “What were you about to tell me? What was the other thing you told him to do?” The unease in her heart intensified. Tamara was trembling as she tried to even out her breathing. Elijah turned toward her, looking guilty. “It’s all my fault, Tammy. I threatened Anthony four years ago. I got him to steal Melly from you.” Tamara felt like something had exploded in her mind, and it was as if her brain had been fried. Her lithe body swayed unsteadily, and she nearly fainted! “Tammy, are you alright?” When Elijah saw her, he hurriedly explained, “It was all my fault. I was wrong. I didn’t realize that you were my daughter and was blinded by my hatred and need for revenge. I wanted to steal your baby, then use her to threaten you. Thank God I was eventually enlightened of your true identity. If I hadn’t known about you, I would’ve lived my entire life filled with regret.” Jonathan got out of the car and supported Tamara’s unsteady figure. When he saw how pale she was, he frowned and said, “Tammy, let me take you home.” Tamara suddenly pulled away from Jonathan and ran up to Anthony, slapping him hard across the face. “Why? Why would you do this to me?” After Tamara slapped him, she grabbed his collar and yelled, “We grew up together! You were like a brother to me. I’ve always depended on you, trusted you. Why would you do this to me?” Tamara couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down her face as she spoke. When she was told that her third baby was stillborn, she was beyond hopeless! She kept blaming herself for not taking better care of her baby. She did not expect Anthony to have stolen Melly from her all those years ago. The man was practically her family!
