"What???" I knew it! Something was up. It was getting too peaceful. As always, Riley wouldn't let me get the last laugh. Even on her sick bed, she already has new ways to ruin me. I sucked in a deep breath to calm myself from blowing out. I needed to be civil if I'm to deal with this issue. I raised my eyes to stare at Liam; "So... what do you plan to do?" Though I had a neutral look on, I could feel my heart pounding hard against my chest. It was so loud that I suspect he must be hearing it too. If he is, then he should be able to tell what's on my mind, how am feeling... then he would choose his words wisely. He let out a small smile and pulled my hand in his. "Avery baby..." He stared down at me, his smile growing wider at the passing moment and it put me both at ease and increased my anxiety. "...I'm going to mark her." Then, something snapped. I didn't cry nor laugh. I had no expression on my face nor did I have any feeling whatsoever in me. I was numb to everything that was happe
