As I exited the hospital's building, I bumped into something firm but warm. A male's chest! "Avery?" I could recognize that familiar voice from anywhere. Isn't that.... I raised my head up amd just as I expected, it turned out to be Albert. The usual cheery and bright expression on his face instantly switched into a worried one. "Are you alright?" He asked as he bent his head downwards to match my gaze. I'm not! I just found out that my parents were much worse than I had first imagined them to be. Taking Riley as their real daughter was one thing but trying to fool me into getting married to Liam was the last straw. Then, there's Diana. Even though everyone turned their backs on me. She was still there, taking care of me, being the mother I never had. I never expected something like this from her either. I never knew she would also turn her back on me at such a dire moment. I was so stupid to think anyone would treat me so good without any wanting anything in return. Even my own parent
