Kieran's POV
I still refused to believe Liora was my fated mate, but I couldn't resist helping her, and I let her get in my car. This had never happened before.
I involved myself in this big mess of my own volition.
I'd begun smelling silvermoon grass everywhere since I got closer to her. It calmed me almost instantaneously.
After getting in the car, I asked Druan, "Are you really sure?"
"I know what ridiculous daydreams you're having," Druan said provocatively. "Maybe the fact that your niece-in-law is your fated mate is too shocking for you, but I have to tell you that it's true.
"No wolf will mistake someone else as their mate. One glance is all it takes for us to know."
"I've met her before, though, and she didn't smell like silvermoon grass…" I said pensively. "Maybe something changed. Maybe this is because she used to be wolfless."
