Arias has stared at the writing so long that his eyes began to grow unfocused, the black ink blurring. The continuous loops and curves of the connected letters made it hard to decipher what was on the page. It was taking much longer to map out the than expected but his pride held it against him to ask for help. He was the only one from his homeland who could read English and he wasn't about to let his brothers down by needing an outsider's help. They were brought here to help them, not the other way around.
