Five years. Five years of silence, of unanswered questions, of nights spent staring at the ceiling, wondering where she had gone.
Katelyn’s sudden departure without a word had plunged me into a chasm of pain and anger. I told myself I hated her for leaving, for not trusting me enough to say goodbye.
