Katelyn’s POV Dinner with Matthew felt like stepping into a gentler world for a moment. The restaurant was small and softly lit, tucked away on a quiet street. Our table was by the window, city lights blurring in the rainy glass. Matthew was easy to talk to, he made me laugh with old stories. He often asked about my family, and for the first time in a long while, I felt like someone was really listening. He set down his glass, looking at me curiously. “So, are you still running the magazine? Or did you finally take over the whole publishing house?” I shook my head, smiling. “No, actually, I switched careers some time ago. I’m not in print anymore.” I paused for a beat, then confessed, “I’m a field reporter for NY Metro News now. You know, the TV station with the neon logo on 10th Avenue.” Matthew’s eyebrows shot up. “Katelyn, you’re on television? That’s incredible!” He grinned, leaning in. “I can totally see it. You always had that voice that made people listen. Are you live, or is it
