The past few days were excruciating. Killian hasn't contacted me nor decided to check on me. He still needs to give me the result of his promise. And it's provoking me to be angrier at him. It has been a couple of weeks, and the more I wait, the more I become agitated. Even my wolf grew impatient.  There would be a time when I wanted to go to the pack and confront Isabelle myself. I wanted to tell her that I was Killian's mate and she was not needed anymore. I knew Killian would not like it, so I restrained myself and waited. I often wondered if Isabelle knew Killian's mate, and I'm sure something about Killian changed. She should be suspecting something different about him. Ugh. It's too exhausting to think and to wait.  And then there's someone who has been looking out for me.. It was Marcus.  Killian probably didn't trust me, so he sent Marcus to check on me.  Erix knew this, so we only communicated through messages and calls.
