Author's POV Jude took Mirielle home after celebrating Bella's victory in the race. They enjoyed a delicious meal at a restaurant, as they had promised Mirielle, but then Bella was reluctant to rush home, instead inviting them to spend time at her favorite club. It was already two in the morning when they arrived home. Jude laid Mirielle, who was asleep in his arms, down and hurried to the bedroom only to find an empty room, one that should have been familiar to him.
