"If he feels Bella meets his expectations and sees her as the right candidate, he could change his mind and support them," he continued, which this time caused the same anxiety in my heart.
Couldn't they all stop comparing me to Bella or always linking us together?
Damn, Bella and I shared the same blood. Of course it was difficult not to did that because, whether we liked it or not, we still had a bond that I was now trying to break.
"What should we do?" asked Dillan, who I was sure was just muttering to himself, but I heard him clearly.
"We'd better focus on Professor Satou's request first. We don't need to think about Bella's problem. Let's hope I can be better than her," I replied, then looked out the window, no longer caring what Dillan was doing.
At the office, Dillan stopped me as I was about to step out of the car. He was silent for quite a while before finally speaking, and the first thing he said was exactly what I had been thinking all along.
