#Chapter 251: Regret
Ella’s POV
Somehow, we managed to make it back down the mountain. The sun was rising by the time we reached the car, limping and exhausted. No one spoke as we climbed into the car, Liam taking the driver’s seat. I curled up in the back, and at some point, I must have nodded off—because I suddenly woke to the sound of the driveway pebbles crunching under the tires.
We were home.
I sat up, yawning and rubbing my eyes. The crystal was still warm in my lap, still humming with that otherworldly energy.
But as my vision focused, I felt my breath catch in my throat. The house was in chaos. People were running around, guards holding weapons and cars I didn’t recognize parked out front. When we pulled up, Hunted suddenly came running, his eyes wide and his face pale.
“Alpha! You’re back!” Hunter shouted as we climbed out of the car. Behind him, two warriors came running, wielding spears that they pointed at Alexander.
