Carrie’s Point of View
"We can't leave her here! He'll kill her!" I shrieked at Marcus.
He dropped his arm next to his body, rolling his eyes.
"I didn't come here for her; she'll just be an extra weight. Now, please. I don't want to hurt you, Luna”
Panic kept rising within me, as I thought of a way out of this. I wasn't going to leave Brigit here to face Lucas’ wrath.
"No, we can’t leave her, Marcus. I need her to at least be safe. She doesn't even have to come with us, just let me unchain her and she can run." I pleaded with him desperately.
Marcus growled in frustration, before turning away from me and heading over to Brigit. By this time, she was semi-conscious and blinking her eyes lazily. Dried blood stained her head and matted her hair, marrying her appearance.
