Damien's POV I’m practically shaking with fury. First, that arrogant ass Ashton kept us waiting over ten minutes, like we’re not important enough for him to show up on time. Then, that obnoxious gate guard made it his mission to humiliate me. I saw him leave the gate for a few minutes. I assumed he was going to notify Ashton of our arrival. But it turns out he called my bluff and contacted the council himself to verify who I’d brought. How the hell was he even told that Rachel is just an assistant?
